What is recorded here

Fairy forts are earthen ringforts. People stopped building them before written records began. Rooms and yards fit inside one rampart. Walls and doors are no longer visible. A fort is a shape of human life. It may have held a family, a herdsman or a small neighbourhood. It may have been abandoned when roads and markets changed. Forgetting does not erase the shape. The earth keeps the circle.

Bowman (1934, 509) recorded levelled single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 41yd) on C. Healy's land. Exact location not known.
