What is recorded here

Fairy fort in Tullig, County Clare: an earthen ringfort, local name for a boundary the state still has not fully described. The clay may have held a family, a herdsman or a child who ran home before dark. People called it fairy because the ordinary explanation stopped midway. What is missing is not the hole in the ground but the life that shaped it.
