Fairy fort in Tarmon, County Clare: a circular earthwork with two banks and a broad fosse, surviving under pasture and overgrowth. The laneway has cut through the NE portion, but the S half remains hidden in grass. People may have lived inside the rings before the road took its share. The fairies, according to local story, kept what remained.

In a wet field of pasture. A circular area (int. diam. c. 24m) defined by two earthen banks (max. ext. diam. c. 60m) and an intervening broad fosse (c. 5-6m) visible on OSi MapGenie 2013-2018 and noted by Johnny Ryan, Forest Service, 2024.
