Shanaclogh holds a broad earthen ring on a gentle slope, large enough for several houses yet old enough to belong to nobody remembered. The west bank wears a stone skin while the east remains open, inviting entry or escape depending which way you face. Cows still walk the grass above buried chambers, unaware that human hands shaped the ground beneath their hooves.

In pasture, on gentle SE-facing slope. Roughly circular area (42.3m N-S; 45m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2.4m); external fosse (D 2.45m). Stone wall atop bank to W; break in bank to E.
