What is recorded here
Mornane held a thirty-five metre embanked ring on limestone long before ploughs and developers erased it. The fairies likely built the fort to keep humans out, but humans returned the favour by forgetting the fairies altogether.
In rough pasture, in area of outcropping limestone. Monument, depicted on 1841 OS 6-inch map as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m), has been levelled. No trace of monument evident when inspected.
