Fairy fort in Mallowgaton is a roughly circular earthen ringfort, 34m north-south and 38m east-west, with a 2.2m bank, silted fosse to east and south, and a 3m gap to south-south-east. Its north interior was raised to level the hillslope, suggesting people shaped the ground rather than merely marking it. The gap may have been an entrance, a overflow route, or a deliberate invitation for something that does not need doors.

Roughly circular area (34m N-S; 38m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2.2m); silted-up fosse to E and S. Gap in bank to SSE (Wth 3m). Interior raised on N side to compensate for hillslope.
