Fairy fort in Lissyconor, County Galway: a shallow double-banked ring on a grassy rise, thirty-eight metres wide, its south bank still proud while a field wall has strangled the north. Fifty metres east, a megalithic structure waits in the turf. People may have kept sheep inside, buried a jar, or simply drawn a line around the middle world. The fairies, according to local story, never agreed on the boundary.

On a rise in undulating grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (E-W 38m, N-S 34m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank survives from SSE through S to SW. Elsewhere a scarp, overlain by a field wall from W to N, forms the enclosing element. The fosse and outer bank survive only at SW. A megalithic structure (GA005-095----) lies c. 50m to E.
