What is recorded here

Thirty-eight metres across, the fort stands on the north shoulder above the Erne, its deep fosse and double banks still drawing a circle in the ground. Trees have claimed the south side, but the earthwork remains clear enough to walk inside. People may have lived there, feared there, or simply avoided the trouble of digging through so much soil. The fort does not need a name to keep its shape.

Internal diam. 38m. A subcircular area defined by a substantial earthen bank, a deep wide fosse, a partially surviving outer bank and a small outer fosse. The monument is overgrown, with trees and bushes, on its S side. It is situated on the N shoulder of rising ground S of the River Erne.
