Fairy fort in Lisroe, County Cork: a circular earthen ring, 24m by 22m, with a 2.2m bank and a NE entrance. It sits atop moraine in pasture, 200m north of the Argideen river. Cultivation ridges cross the interior, and a man-made underground passage cuts through the SE quadrant. The shape is simple, but the hidden passage and old ridges suggest the fort was lived in, worked and remembered long before it became a fairy name.

In pasture, atop moraine, 200m N of Argideen river. Circular, slightly raised area (24m N-S; 22m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2.2m). Entrance to NE. Cultivation ridges cross interior on E-W axis; Man-made underground passage (CO122-110---) in SE quadrant.
