What is recorded here

No visible trace remains at Lisluinaghan, though local memory still shapes the lost earthwork into a fairy fort. That is a useful warning about memory, not a claim that fairies built it. The region is crowded with ringforts, boundary ditches and small defended places, so a vanished earth ring would not have been strange. What is missing is the shape itself: no photograph, plan or clear description survives to show whether it was a home, a trap, a marker or a child's invention.
