What is recorded here

Situated on a low rise of ground in undulating countryside. A raised circular area (diam. 28m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2.7m; int. H 0.25m; ext. H 1.7m) and outer fosse (Wth 4m; D 0.5m) both of which are destroyed from NW through N to E. No entrance feature visible. Destruction of bank and fosse probably occurred between the first and current edition of the OS 6-inch map as the site is depicted as a full circular enclosure on 1st edition.
