Situated on a slight rise of ground on flat poorly drained land with a nearby tower house (TN036-012) to the N and a stream to the S. Described in the Civil Survey (1654-6) as 'the ruines of an old mill' (Simington 1931, vol. 1, 45) and depicted as 'Old Mill' on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map. No visible remains.
