What is recorded here
Knockanush West holds a earthen ringfort, a circular defense built by human hands though local memory has renamed it a fairy fort. The clay bank still stands against the sky, marking a place where people once drew a line between inside and outside, safety and danger. Whether it guarded a family, a herdsman or a whole village, the fort did its work: it shaped the land into a room large enough for life.
