Knockanush East and West and Slievenavadoge hold a field system centred on two massive ringforts, one bivallate and one trivallate. The old banks still angle across the slope from north-west to south-east, marking a landscape shaped before modern reclamation erased much of its clarity.

'This recorded field system spans the townlands of Slievenavadoge, Knockanush East & West. The remains of old field banks can be traced on the ground and seen on aerial photography, though the land in the area has been extensively reclaimed. The complex here includes two massive ringforts, the more northerly in the townland of Slievenavadoge is bivallate while the more southerly in Knockanush East is trivallate. The field banks mainly run in a generally north-west to south-east direction following the slope of the land, and appear to be centred on the large trivallate ringfort.
