Fairy fort in Killough West is a circular earthen ring, 24 metres across and 2.2 metres high, built on the lower southeast slope of Knocknahulla. It is also a disused burial ground, meaning people died and were placed inside the same circle others called a fairy fort. The bank still stands in pasture, partly faced with stone, holding both human loss and local belief in one small ring.

A fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Killough West is a circular early-medieval defensive or agricultural enclosure, likely dating to between the 5th and 10th centuries AD. Local folklore associates such sites with the supernatural, particularly with faeries, and they were often avoided or treated with reverence by rural communities.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
