Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Kildellig

In undulating countryside. A circular area (diam. c. 30m) defined by a low earthen bank (Wth c. 2.7m, int. H c. 0.4m, ext. H c. 0.8m) and faint remains of an external fosse. No evidence of original entrance. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P.
