What is recorded here

Half a ring of earth still stands on the Gortaganny rise, its southern half erased by a field wall and centuries of ploughing. What remains is a broken arc of banks and ditch stretching from northwest through north to northeast, barely visible in the grass but enough to mark the shape of a home or fortress long forgotten. The fairies may have taken the rest, or simply never have lived there at all, leaving behind an ordinary ringfort that time half-swallowed.

On a rise in grassland. Marked on OS 6-inch maps as a circular enclosure (D c. 50m); all that survives of this very poorly preserved ringfort are two banks and an intervening fosse from NW through N to NE. A field wall cuts the monument at NW and NE, to S of which no visible surface trace survives.
