Fairy fort in Garrane is a circular earthen ringfort, twenty-one metres across on a west-facing pasture slope, with a stone-faced bank and shallow outer ditch. Its south half stays waterlogged because a spring rises in the southwest, turning the interior into a soft, breathing basin rather than a dry home. People may have stood at the edge, watched the water collect, and called it a fairy fort because the shape appeared made for someone else.

In pasture, on W-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 21.8m E-W) defined by earthen bank (H 1m) NNE->WSW, stone faced in parts; scarp (H 0.8m) elsewhere; external fosse (D 0.5m) WSW->NNE.
