Fourcuil held a forty-metre earthen ring until quarrying erased it, but the destruction exposed a hidden underground passage. The fort gave up its secret only when broken open.

Circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m) marked on OS 6-inch map (1902); removed by quarrying. Man-made underground passage (CO122-071002-) exposed during destruction.
