Fairy fort in Farrandau, County Cork: a broken ring of earth and rock, not a palace. The surviving bank stands ninety centimetres high across twenty metres of hilly grazing land, while a laneway passes within a breath of the circle. People may have kept animals, hidden tools or simply marked a boundary there; the fairies, according to local story, never agreed about the shape.

In hilly rough grazing land, broken by rock outcrop. Originally circular area (diam. c. 25m). Arc formed by earthen bank (H 0.9m) survives NNE->E; rock outcrop to W; laneway skirts site to N.
