Fairy forts in Clare are not fantasy. They are old field works, circular and deliberate, built by human hands and remembered through myth. In Fahy the ring may have marked a boundary, a shrine, a dwelling or a warning. The fairy name does not erase those purposes, it translates them. People saw the shape doing work they could not explain, so they gave the unseen a name. That is not ignorance. It is record keeping without cameras.
