Thirty-one metres of raised earth still circle Drumbrughas, bounded by a waterlogged ditch that swallows light and memory. The northern entrance remains marked by a causeway cutting through the bank, inviting footsteps into a space where human lives may have turned, loved, and vanished before records began. Fairy fort is the name locals give it, not dismissal but recognition that the shape belongs to more than one kind of witness.

Raised circular area (int. diam. 31.6m) enclosed by an earthen bank and a wide, deep, waterlogged fosse which is barely discernible from ESE-S-W and almost completely infilled at W. Break in bank with accompanying causeway at NE represents original entrance.
