What is recorded here

Drumagolan holds a broken oval fort where two earthen banks once enclosed a living space. The south-western edge has surrendered to soil and forgetting, but the northern curve still rises against the sky. People may have built it to keep out rain, invaders or fear. They failed on one side, yet the remaining bank continues the argument.

Raised oval area (int. dims. c. 35m N-S; 25m E-W) enclosed by two earthen banks with intermediate narrow, shallow fosse. Outer bank and fosse not identifiable from SSW-W-NW.
