Fairy fort in Dromidiclogh West, County Cork: an earthen ringfort on a west-facing slope above the River Blackwater, marked circular on the 1842 Ordnance Survey map but no longer visible on the ground. It may have been a boundary marker, a seasonal shelter, or a child’s story made flesh; the land keeps its shape in memory even when the grass has swallowed the ridge.

In pasture, on W-facing slope, NE of river Blackwater. Marked as circular enclosure on O.S. map (1842). No visible surface trace.
