Drombeg holds a circular earthen fort nineteen and a half metres wide on a pasture ridge, its stone-faced bank rising one and a half metres above the grass. People called it a fairy fort, perhaps because the small size and broken western entrance made human ownership seem uncertain. The adjoining burial ground and its standing mass rock suggest the place excluded more than it invited, marking a boundary where the living kept their distance.

In pasture, on NE shoulder of NE-SW ridge. Circular area (19.5m NE-SW) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.4m), stone faced in parts. Break in bank to W (Wth 1.5m). Tradition of burial ground (CO135-096001-) in small adjoining field to SW; mass rock (CO135-096002-) in burial ground.
