Fairy fort in Corweelis, County Cavan. A circular rath, thirty-four metres across, clings to the west slope of a low drumlin ridge. Much has been levelled, but a short earthen bank still rises at the north edge, marking the ghost of an entrance now lost. People may have lived there, feared it, or simply walked past because shape and shadow made it strange.

Marked 'Fort' on OS 1836 and 1876 eds. Situated on W slope of a low drumlin ridge. Largely levelled. Raised circular area (int. diam. 34m) enclosed by a low scarp from N-E-S. A short segment of earthen bank survives on the upper edge of the scarp at N. Original entrance not recognisable.
