Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Cloontycarn

In pasture, on top of a drumlin ridge. A raised roughly circular area (int. diam. 33m N-S; 29.3m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.6-0.8m) along the S arc and by an eroded earth and stone bank (Wth 4.6m; int. H 1m; ext. H 1.6m) elsewhere. A fosse (Wth 4.9m; D 0.8m) is evident along the SW arc. A possible entrance (Wth 2.2m) is at SW. The interior is slightly concave. Trees and bushes grow on the bank.
