What is recorded here

Magic and madness are close cousins. The fort is a ring of earth, not a palace of gold. People lived inside it, breathed its air and left it behind. The fairies never left. They still walk the ridge at dusk, wearing the shapes of everyone who forgot the fort was theirs.
