Fairy fort in Ballyvongane, County Cork, is a 39-metre earthen ring with a three-metre outer bank, an underground passage in its west half, and a northern edge cut by a laneway. It sits in working farmland, overgrown and altered, yet still shaped like a place where people once drew a line around what they wanted to keep. The fairy name suggests locals stopped treating it as ordinary property and started believing it belonged elsewhere.

In arable land. Circular raised area (diam. 39m) defined by earthen bank (int. H 0.6m; ext. H 3m) to E, S and W. Second bank, hachured on 1938 OS 6-inch map to NE and W, survives to W. Banks and interior heavily overgrown; interior truncated on N side by laneway; Man-made underground passage (CO060-149002-) in W half.
