Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballyhighland

Marked only on the 1924 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a D-shaped hachured feature truncated by a NW-SE field bank, it is located in the bottom of a NW-SE valley close to the headwaters of a stream, which is c. 60m to the NE. It was described as a circular area (diam. c. 30m) defined by an earthen bank with an external fosse that was removed in 1975 (SMR file). No feature is visible at ground level in pasture.
