What is recorded here

Situated at the crest of the S-facing slope of a hill. Circular scrub-covered area (diam. 36m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3-4.5m; int. H 1.05-2m; ext. H 2.15-2m) and outer fosse (Wth at base 2.5-5m; D 0.4-0.7m). There is no visible entrance. An outer bank (Wth 2.5-3.5m; H over fosse 2m; ext. H 1.2m) survives SW-E where it is incorporated into a field bank, but it is barely traceable (Wth 3-4m; max. ext. H 0.5m) elsewhere. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
