Half a kilometre of rough pasture and ninety metres of river separate the fort from human noise, yet its twenty-four metre circle still holds its shape beneath grass and scrub. The earthen bank rises no higher than a knee on the outside, suggesting people once lived inside a boundary so thin it might have been imagination. The modern entrance at the southwest breaks the ancient line, reminding us that even forgotten places must be entered or they vanish entirely.

Located in rough pasture towards the bottom of a NE-facing slope with a N-S section of the River Bonet c. 90m to the E. This is an grass and scrub-covered circular area (diam. 24.3m NE-SW) defined by a slight scarp (max. H 1m), with an earthen bank (Wth 3m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.6m) SW-W. There is no visible fosse and the entrance (Wth 2m) at SW is modern. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J.
