Fairy fort in Adamstown Lower is a circular earthen enclosure on the west side of a narrow valley, with a bank one to two metres high and a shallow ditch outside. People may have lived there, watched the valley, or simply marked the land before written memory began. The shape still holds its edge against pasture and rain, waiting for someone to walk the ridge and wonder what it guarded.

On W side of the N-S portion of a valley predominantly orientated NE-SW. Land drops steeply E to the valley floor and initially rises gently to the W and then more steeply, in pasture. There are good views to the N, E and S and to the W is limited to the side of the valley. A roughly circular area (int. diam. c. 41m N-S; c. 37m E-W; overall diam. c. 55m N-S; c. 46m E-W) enclosed by a bank (int. H 1m; ext.
