What is recorded here

Indicated is a crannog in Errit, County Roscommon, Ireland. It sits close to the eastern shore of the northern part of Cloonagh Lough, about seventy metres from the water's edge. The oval stony area measures forty-four metres east-west and twenty metres north-south, with most of it underwater. Animal bones and timbers remain visible at its eastern edge.

Close to the E shore of the N part (dims. c. 750m N-S; c. 500m E-W) of Cloonagh Lough, c. 70m from the E shore. Oval stony area (dims. 44m E-W; 20m N-S), most of which is under water, but animal bones and timbers can be seen at its E edge. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
