What is recorded here
In a field under tillage. Identified as a roughly circular cropmark (diam. c. 40m) on an aerial photograph (CUCAP, ASW 50, 1967) and also visible on a later aerial photograph (ASIAP (24) 24, 1995). The enclosure is not visible at ground level. An irregular quarry, depicted on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map, appears to have been located in the NE quadrant of the enclosure, though it has been back-filled and is no longer visible. The field boundary visible on the aerial photograph running NNE-SSW along the SE sector of the monument has since been removed.
