What is recorded here
In rough to average pasture, in an area of sharply undulating terrain overlooked to E by Red Hill. Located towards the SW end of a NE–SW ridge, with a steep fall of ground at SE and also at W–SW. This broadly oval or subcircular enclosure (19m N–S; c. 15m E–W) has been partly levelled. It is defined N–SSE by a low sod-covered stony bank (Wth 1.5m; int. H 0.25m; ext. H 0.6m, at E), and at S–NNW by a slight undulation. It is bisected, to W of centre, by a later field fence on a NNW–SSE axis, which appears as a sod-covered stone bank (Wth 1.2m; H 0.3-0.5m), with a field ditch (Wth 1.6m; D 0.3m) on its W side. There is a cashel (SL018-051002-) immediately to W of the enclosure.
