Enclosure in Drummeen East — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Drummeen East holds the northernmost of six ringforts strung along a Clare ridge, its thirty-four-metre circle still sharp enough to break the pasture. That much is visible from above, but the lives inside remains imagination: perhaps a family, perhaps a guardian post watching the line of forts stretch south. The nearby ring-barrow waits sixty seconds' walk away, old enough to make the enclosure feel like a younger guard standing beside a dead ancestor.

On the low NE slope of a NE-SW ridge in pasture. A circular enclosure (diam. c. 34m) defined by a scarp visible on Digital Globe (2011-2013) and on Google Earth (imagery date10 February 2021) reported to the National Monuments Service by Jean-Charles Caillère. This is the most NE of a line of six ringforts along the ridge. A ring-barrow (CL041-041----) lies c. 153m to the SW.
