Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Cartron (athlone South By., Rockhill Ed), County Roscommon, Ireland. The circular grass-covered area measures about 37.7m NE-SW and 36m NW-SE on a south-facing slope. An earthen bank with whitethorn bushes defines the boundary, reaching 6.7m width and 0.9m external height at the southwest. A 2.6m-wide entrance faces south, while slight traces of a fosse appear south-southwest and north.
On a S-facing slope. Circular grass-covered but poached area (diam. 37.7m NE-SW; 36m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank with whitethorn bushes (at SW: Wth 6.7m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.9m) which is best preserved (at NE: Wth 6m; int. H 1.4m; ext. H 1.2m) NW-S. The entrance (Wth 2.6m) is at S, and there are slight traces of a fosse S-SSW and at N.
