Bonet River and the named locality are clear, but the writing above still inventes a precise story, age and purpose for the buried row.

Situated on top of a small drumlin on the floor of the Bonet River with a meandering E-W section of the stream c. 50m to the N. This is a grass-covered circular platform (diam. c. 30m) defined by an overgrown scarp (H 0.5m) with an intermittently visible bank, and slight traces of an external fosse. The original entrance is not identified. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003).
