Craiglockhart, Castle Greg and Castledykes may mark a Roman road, though the line remains uncertain. If true, soldiers or merchants walked that Edinburgh edge under foreign banners, dragging carts through clay and rain. The stones vanished, but the names still point across a long forgotten distance.
