What is recorded here

Castlehill in East Dunbartonshire, Scotland, is a Roman altar, a small stone bridge between human hands and distant gods. It may have stood in rain, witnessed prayer, or been buried under grass and forgotten. A person may have chipped it, carried it, or simply passed it without knowing they touched a temple. The altar does not need a building to be holy; it needs only to remain standing while the world turns away.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castlehill as Altar (roman). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
