What is recorded here

Dysartbeagh held a cross tied to the monastery of Dearmhagh in Ossory, according to Carrigan in 1905. The stone may have marked a worship area, a burial edge or a boundary for travellers. It is no longer visible, but the townland still carries the shape of that lost religious life.
