Gateway, c.1800, comprising pair of limestone ashlar piers with stringcourses, cut-limestone capping, iron double gates having arrow-head and spear-head finials, sections of iron flanking railings on random rubble stone plinth having cut-limestone coping, and limestone ashlar outer piers having cut-limestone capping. Set back from road in grounds shared with Dunmore Cottage.
An elegantly-appointed gateway built as one of an almost-identical pair (with 12401421/KK-14-21) enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the Dunmore Cottage grounds. Exhibiting high quality stone masonry the aesthetic value of the composition is enhanced by the retention of early iron work displaying fine detailing.
