Man-made underground passage in Dunmaurice

No stone remains to mark the entrance, only a rectangular wound eight and a half metres long cutting through the southern bank of the rath on the drumlin summit. The missing passage may have served as a hidden escape route or a storage space for grain during storms, but time and ploughs have erased its walls. What is left is a shadow in the earth, a gap where human ingenuity disappeared, waiting for someone to imagine the dark it once held.
