What is recorded here

On top of a very slight drier rise in gently undulating wet pasture. Ring-barrow (TS 057-037----) located 16m to the SW and a second ring-barrow (TS057-039----) is located 70m to NW. Circular very slightly raised area (diam. 3m) enclosed by an earthen scarp (Wth 0.6m; H 0.2m) with a shallow fosse (Wth at base 0.6m) and an external low broad earthen bank (int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.1m; Wth at top 0.6m; overall Wth 1.9m). The interior is level and clear of overgrowth. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011

A Neolithic ring-barrow, dating to approximately 3000–2500 BCE, likely used as a burial monument. Its location among other barrows suggests it is part of a wider funerary landscape.
