Aerial photograph (GB90.AU.22) shows cropmark of an incomplete rectilinear enclosure defined by a fosse; one of two overlapping rectilinear enclosures (LA020-020). First recorded as a positive cropmark in May 1990. Not clear which enclosure is the earliest. Part of an extensive, complex and probably multi-period cropmark landscape (LA020-016/017/018/019/020/022/023/024) in the fields south-east of the motte (LA020-002-).
