St Ringan's Well

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records St Ringan's Well as Holy Well (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

St Ringan's Well is associated with St Ringan, a 6th-century Irish monk and missionary linked to the spread of Christianity in the Scottish Highlands. The well was traditionally visited for its healing properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes and skin, and was a site of pilgrimage and ritual washing.
