Castle O'er Estate holds an Iron Age linear earthwork in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. The estate name suggests later ownership, but the earthwork belongs to the much older Iron Age. The contrast between a domestic estate and an ancient boundary is the interesting part. The land carried both lives at once.
