What is recorded here

Castlehill was a Roman fort on the Antonine Wall in Scotland, set west of Bearsden and east of Duntocher. About five hundred soldiers may have stood watch there, while civilians clustered nearby and distance slabs marked the wall’s reach. Now a circular plantation of beech trees covers the camp, hiding the military line but leaving a broad panoramic summit where the Roman boundary still emerges beneath grass and memory.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castlehill as Enclosure (period Unassigned), Fort (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
