What is recorded here

Castlehill is a farmstead in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. Its human history is no longer recorded, but the land still keeps the shape of that forgotten use. People may have lived there, worked there and left before memory faded. The absence makes the place harder to dismiss because it refuses to explain itself.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castlehill as Farmstead (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
